Rosés

WINE #1

2023 Sheldrake Point Dry Rosé
Cabernet Franc
Finger Lakes, New York

Founded in 1997 by Chuck Tauck and Bob Madill, Sheldrake Point Winery takes its name from the distinctive land jutting out on Cayuga Lake's western shore. Reviving a neglected 155-acre property in the mid-1980s, Tauck and Madill fostered a haven for viticulture. Sheldrake Point cultivates 60 acres of vines, but only half are dedicated to their own wines. Their grapes, renowned for exceptional quality, are highly sought-after. Beyond their own production, the winery extends a helping hand to budding entrepreneurs. By offering winemaking services to those with labels but lacking a winery, Sheldrake Point fosters the next generation of winemakers.

This wine opens with a lively bouquet of fresh strawberry, raspberry, herbaceous thyme, and floral hibiscus. On the palate, vibrant tartness is complemented by subtle sweetness, evoking flavors of Honeycrisp apples and starburst candies. Balanced by well-integrated acidity, it finishes with a crisp and refreshing finish.

WINE #2

2023 Tablas Creek Patelin
Grenache, Mourvèdre, Counoise
Paso Robles, California

A dream realized by two winemaking dynasties: the Perrins of Château de Beaucastel and the Haas family of Vineyard Brands. Founded in 1987 as a 50/50 partnership, Tablas Creek continues to thrive under the next generation of leadership from both families. Tablas Creek embraces the time-honored blending traditions of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Their focus? Wines that sing with both richness and elegance, while showcasing captivating complexity, freshness, and a touch of minerality.

This Provençal-style rosé from Tablas Creek Vineyard blends Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Counoise, from Paso Robles' top Rhône vineyards for a wine bursting with bright strawberry, juicy red fruit, spice, and a touch of citrus. Pair this wine with grilled seafood, Provençal herbs, summer salads, or even a light pizza for a delightful combination.

This wine received 92 points from Decanter.

WINE #3

2022 Anthony Nappa White Pinot
Pinot Noir
North Fork of Long Island, New York

Producing organic wines in this wet region’s climate is a feat; Anthony works closely with grower Rex Farr to keep his wines certified organic and sustainable. According to Anthony, “Rex Farr, my grower, has endured many difficulties over the last eight years growing grapes organically and biodynamically, [which was] once thought impossible on the East End. Rex Farr Vineyard is the only Certified Organic Vineyard on Long Island. I have always made wine in the most natural way possible and I enjoy making the wines I currently make, but I also enjoy new challenges and the opportunity to do something nobody has done before. It’s part of my lifestyle to try to be a good steward of the land.”

Full-bodied and unoaked, this wine bursts with aromas and flavors of white cherry and strawberry. A long, dry finish with a refreshing touch of acidity.
