Pinot Noir

WINE #1

2021 Millbrook Vineyards
Pinot Noir
Hudson River Region, New York

John Dyson's love for wine began at Cornell, fueled by a desire to impress (and a distaste for beer!). He soon enrolled in their renowned wine program, igniting a lifelong passion. In 1982, after successful grape plantings on his family's farm, Dyson co-founded Millbrook Winery, the Hudson Valley's first dedicated vinifera producer. Founded on innovation, Millbrook thrived under John Graziano's winemaking expertise. Initial plantings of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon flourished, leading to expansion and the winery's 1998 opening. Today, Millbrook produces 10-15,000 cases annually, with renowned varieties like Pinot Noir and Tocai Friulano gracing their 30 acres of vines.

This wine offers aromas of cranberry, cherry, and a touch of intriguing violet. On the palate it's a concentrated burst of red fruits supported by supple, ripe tannins that leave a lingering impression. Imagine it alongside roasted poultry, duck, or grilled salmon - a perfect match for its bright flavors.

WINE #2

2020 Debonné Vineyards
Pinot Noir
Grand River Valley, Ohio

Debonné Vineyards began in 1916 when Anton Debevc, a Slovenian immigrant, purchased a fruit farm in Madison, Ohio. Over three generations, the Debevc family transformed it into Ohio's largest estate winery, renowned for its world-class standards. Today Debonné continues to garner acclaim, with their premium wines consistently winning awards across the country.

This is a bright, fresh style of Pinot. It offers aromas of black cherry, blackberry, plum, and dark chocolate, with vibrant acidity and velvety smooth tannins. Pair this wine with pork, rabbit, lamb, flavorful salmon dishes, and anything with mushrooms.

WINE #3

2021 Kleinlerer

Sonoma County, California

Sagie Kleinlerer, a self-proclaimed "wine geek" with a travel-honed palate, founded Kleinlerer Wines. Tired of stuffy wines, he crafts complex, delicious bottles meant to be shared – over celebrations or just a casual weeknight. Expect fun, unpretentious bottles perfect for raising a glass with friends and family.

This Pinot Noir showcases the interplay of two distinct clones. The Pommard clone, sourced from France, contributes expressive aromatics of wild strawberry, Bing cherry, and a hint of sandalwood. The Dijon 828 clone adds structure with its blackberry and red plum notes, creating a complex bouquet. 100% whole cluster fermentation and minimal intervention (unfined, unfiltered, low sulfur), this Pinot Noir is bright and luscious on the palate, offering an approachable yet captivating drinking experience. Pair this wine with a variety of cheeses, light meat dishes, and roasted chicken or game.
