Floral & Citrus Whites

WINE #1

2022 Left Foot Charley Mary Lion’s Yard
Kerner
Old Mission Peninsula, Michigan

Founded in 2004 by Bryan Ulbrich, Left Foot Charley began when he rescued a neglected vineyard. Facing overgrown vines and mildew, Ulbrich saved the grapes and earned a share as his reward, leading to his first dry Riesling. Today he collaborates with 16 local growers, focusing on grapes for still and sparkling wines, as well as apples for hard cider.

This Kerner offers apple, pear, apricot, citrus, and peach all intermingled with a honey and tropical fruit backdrop. Pair this wine with soft cheeses, seafood, grilled white meats, and moderately spicy dishes.

WINE #2

2022 Golden Cluster Dionystic Albus
Albariño
Willamette Valley, Oregon

Dionystic is deeply rooted in the Greek concept of "Sophrosyne," which emphasizes moderation and self-awareness in wine consumption. This ancient virtue promotes using wine to enhance conversations, heighten senses, and achieve enlightenment without overindulgence. Guided by these practices, Dionystic invites others to appreciate wine as a conduit to knowledge, music, art, science, nature, joy, passion, sensuality, and freedom. They believe in the responsible enjoyment of wine, recognizing it as the preferred beverage of the gods and a gateway to intellectual and sensory pursuits.

This inaugural 100% Alvarinho from Oregon showcases a bright, zesty character with a vibrant acidity. Aged for 10 months in neutral French Oak barrels, the wine boasts subtle notes of citrus, green apple, and a hint of minerality, all while maintaining a crisp, clean finish. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, it retains its pure expression and is vegan-friendly. Pair this refreshing white wine with seafood dishes like grilled shrimp, ceviche, or steamed mussels, as well as light salads and fresh goat cheese.

WINE #3

2022 Bridge Lane
Sauvignon Blanc
North Fork of Long Island, New York

Originally a Lieb Cellars project, Bridge Lane has blossomed into its own brand. They source grapes from across New York state, ensuring a taste of local character in every bottle. Plus, their packaging is designed with convenience and eco-friendliness in mind. Their selection of 7 wines – white merlot, unoaked chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, dry rosé, red blend, and two sparklings – all boast a fresh, light, and fruit-forward profile.

This Sauv Blanc is a light-bodied, dry white wine with juicy acidity and flavors of citrus, grapefruit, and freshly cut grass. Pair with salads, fresh goat’s milk cheeses, and shellfish dishes (cooked or raw).
